Mitch Speck | Board member

Mitch is a 30 year veteran in the Packaged Goods Industry in a variety of roles and responsibilities. He has been heavily involved in Investor Relations, Customer Relations, and Industry Relations at the most senior levels at a publicly traded company. He has a long track record of success, experience in managing complex business issues, and developing deep relationships with clients.

John Kraft | Board Member

John Kraft retired as Vice-Chairman, COO of the Leo Burnett Company a leading Multi-national Advertising Agency. Since that time he has been active as a Founder, Investor, Advisor and/or Director for a number of technology related service businesses. Among them, Modem Media a pioneering Interactive Ad Agency, Two-Way Communications, a similar company. After investing in and joining the BOD of Lante Corporation, which completed an IPO in 2000, Kraft became Chairman and managed the Sale of the firm. Kraft served on the Board of APAC Customer Services Inc., a call center management firm. Kraft regularly consults with a wide range of developing companies on matters of structure, growth, management development and corporate opportunities.

Currently, Kraft is a Principal and Advisor of the Klout Financial Group, advises Office of Experience (OX) a Design and Digital Innovation firm and ExactData a behavior data company. Until recently he was an Advisor to RISE INTERACTIVE., an internet marketing firm. Kraft is also a member of The Economic Club of Chicago. Currently, he is also a Board Member of Chicago Maritime Arts Center (CMAC) a group that works with Chicago’s underserved kids teaching STEM skills to Chicagoland Children by building small wooden boats. He also has been active at the Entrepreneurship & Innovation program at the Kellogg Graduate School judging business plans and mentoring students.

Joe Rickard | Board Member

Joe’s career in technology started out developing order management systems for the electronic trading. When Joe joined Incapital, he applied that experience to help develop and operate propriety applications designed for fixed income issuance and trading. Leveraging a creative and high energy spirit, Joe has built a great team of individuals focused on delivering state-pf-the-art infrastructure and innovative solutions.

After years of working under regulatory supervision, Joe understands the discipline necessary to comply with both North American and European jurisdictions. Cyber security, privacy protections and litigation support are three things i’m focused on day-day.

Brian Speck | Board Member

Brian is a financial executive with broad experience in all aspects of accounting, finance, tax, legal and operations management. Brian further has direct experience in advertising, start-up technology and healthcare industries and quick service restaurant industries. Brian Utilizes broad experience to make an immediate improvement in financial or operation performance.

Michelle Smead | Board Member

My executive search consulting career includes working with global and boutique executive search consulting firms and as a leader in executive talent acquisition for major corporations. I am gratified to continue to utilize my knowledge to bring exceptional placements to clients. Moreover, I founded the Diversity Executive Search Practice at A.T. Kearney and sat on the Global Council. Prior career history includes A.T. Kearney, EY, and KPMG.

I am originally from Colorado and moved to Chicago to experience a big and vibrant city. I found a great deal of opportunity in Chicago. Shortly after moving here, I worked full-time at Booz, Allen & Hamilton while pursuing my undergraduate degree in economics full-time. My experience at Booz, Allen inspired me to receive my MBA from Kellogg and excel. I made my home in Chicago and have dedicated my career to assisting clients.

Corporate Boards: Serve as a senior member of the Board of Directors for Klout Financial, a very successful insurance brokerage and financial investment firm headquartered in Chicago. Professional and community service includes serving on a variety of boards: Former President of Executive Leaders In Transition, Membership and Engagement Committees of the International Women’s Forum; and Member of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. Past roles include president of the Kellogg Executive Women’s Network; president, treasurer and capital campaign co-chair for the Chicago Rehabilitation Institute’s Women’s Board, Chicago Finance Exchange, The DePaul Theater School, Chicago Club and Saddle and Cycle Club.
